KPK Director: 31 Employees Including 9 Kasatgas Disabled Due To TWK The Quality Is Not Cans

JAKARTA - Director of Anti-Corruption Campaign and Socialization of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Giri Suprapdiono said the National Insight Test (TWK) assessment, which is a condition for the transfer of employment status, forced 20 percent of the enforcement personnel to be disabled.

In fact, he said nine of them were the Head of the KPK Task Force (Kasatgas) who had the ability to carry out their duties without playing games.

"If we look at the data, of those 75 employees, 31 are enforcement personnel, where the total number of enforcement personnel at the KPK is only about 150 investigators. This means that 20 percent of the investigators were also dismissed because of TWK," Giri said in a discussion held on Monday, June 7th.

Meanwhile, in terms of quality, nine of the 31 employees in the field of enforcement are the Head of the KPK Task Force, one of which even holds the record for the most OTT.

"So it's not just the quantity but their quality which is beyond doubt."

"Nine task force personnel whose quality is no longer cans," said Giri.

Thus, he considers that when they are deactivated and even declared that they can no longer be fostered based on the results of the TWK, it is tantamount to not appreciating the work of these dozens of employees. Moreover, many of them have been working to eradicate corruption since a dozen years ago.

"We've been fighting for a dozen years, but now it's red and we can't help it. Corruptors can still be nurtured, BNPT has entrusted some former terrorists to be nurtured, drug users can also be rehabilitated but 51 people can't be nurtured," he said.

"Are we worse than them?" asked Giri in the discussion.

As previously reported, the TWK was attended by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 people were declared eligible.

Meanwhile, 75 employees, including Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign Giri Suprapdiono, Head of the KPK Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid, and Director of PJKAKI Sujarnarko were declared ineligible (TMS). While the other two employees did not attend the interview test.

According to the employees who were declared unsuccessful, there were a number of anomalies in the implementation of this assessment. Including, there are a number of questions that are considered to violate the private sphere.

These employees who did not pass, then reported the implementation of the TWK to Komnas HAM. Subsequently, a special team was formed, led by two commissioners, namely Choirul Anam and Sandrayati Moniaga to investigate the alleged human rights violations in this test.

In addition to submitting reports to Komnas HAM, these employees also report their leadership to a number of parties, from the KPK Supervisory Board to the Indonesian Ombudsman.
