JAKARTA - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the US-Israeli war against Iran is beginning to weaken Europe.
Erdogan made the remarks during a telephone conversation with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier which was uploaded to Erdogan's Office's social media on Thursday, April 23.
"President Erdogan noted that the war in our region is also beginning to weaken Europe," the post read, quoted by the BBC.
In his discussion on the war in Iran and Ukraine, Erdogan and Frank-Walter exchanged views on its impact on Europe.
According to Erdogan, many parties must immediately be involved in easing the conflict in the Middle East and in Ukraine.
"And if this trend is not addressed with a peace-oriented approach, the damage caused by the conflict period will be much greater," the post continued.
In addition to discussing the US-Israeli attack on Iran and the Russia-Ukraine war, the Turkish-German leaders who communicated yesterday also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
