Previously, the Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, stated that this regulation is a strategic step in providing comprehensive protection for domestic workers.

Through the PPRT Law, he said, domestic workers are now recognized as workers with equal rights, including the right to a decent wage, work and rest time arrangements, leave rights, and protection from discrimination and violence.

The ratification of this law is also expected to be a strong foundation in improving the welfare and legal protection of millions of domestic workers in Indonesia.
