JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited the Timika Education Center boarding school in Mimika, Central Papua.

The construction of the school is to support education for the Amungme and Kamoro tribes as well as five related tribes, namely the Dani, Damal, Mee, Nduga, and Moni tribes.

"If the total number of students from elementary school to high school I don't know. But for high school alone, the number of students is 541 students and 14 study groups," he said.

Alfons Fatarewa, a student in Class 11 of SMA Negeri 5 Sentra Pendidikan, admitted that he was very happy that his school received a visit from the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. "I am very happy and excited to be able to see the Vice President directly," he said.
