JAKARTA - Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the increase in COVID-19 cases in the number of areas had increased significantly. There are two areas mentioned by him, namely Kudus, Central Java, and Bangkalan, East Java.

Furthermore, to deal with the increase in COVID-19 cases in these two regions, several things have been done. One of them is by referring severe and moderate patients to other nearby areas.
"What we have done is number one, which is the most important because it is a matter of our lives to unravel the pressure of the burden in the hospital by referring heavy and moderate patients to the nearest city. For Kudus, to Semarang, for Bangkalan to Surabaya", said Budi.

He said that the hospitals in these two cities were ready to receive referrals for COVID-19 patients from Kudus and Bangkalan.
"The hospital capacity in Surabaya and Semarang is sufficient to be able to receive referrals from Bangkalan and Kudus", he said.
