Motive For Killing Students In North Sumatra, Killed By Seniors Due To Personal Problems

JAKARTA - The police have named one person as a suspect in a case of abuse that led to the death of a student at the Darul Arafah Raya Islamic Boarding School, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, with the initials FWA (15).

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Kutalimbaru Police, Ipda Syarizal, said the suspect's identity was ALH (17). The suspect is none other than the victim's senior at the pesantren.

"So far, we have only named one suspect, and later this will be transferred to the Medan Polrestabes," said Syarizal, contacted from Medan, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 7.

He said that the motive for the persecution was based on personal problems between the perpetrator and the victim. The perpetrator feels unappreciated by the victim.

"The suspect was hurt by the victim because he felt he was not appreciated by his juniors. The perpetrator then abused the victim until he finally died," he said.

Previously, the incident that led to the death of the FWA victim occurred on Saturday, June 5 at around 22.00 WIB.

Before he died, the victim was rushed to the boarding school clinic to be given first aid. However, the victim's life could not be saved and was declared dead.
