JAKARTA - The police revealed a case of illegal distribution of illegal drugs in the Jakarta area, by arresting five people suspected of being dealers. The first arrest was made on Thursday (16/4) evening, when officers secured three suspects with initials W, S, and M at several points in the Karang Anyar and Kartini Kelurahan areas. From the hands of the three, the police confiscated various types of hard drugs, including tramadol, eksimer, alprazolam, and trihexyphenidyl.

Meanwhile, the head of the Sawah Besar Police, Rahmat Himawan, said that the total evidence seized amounted to 31,997 pieces of G-class hard drugs.
"This is the result of the disclosure of two police reports. The amount of evidence is quite large and it is suspected that it will be distributed illegally in the Central Jakarta area," he explained.
Currently, all the suspects have been secured at the Sawah Besar Police to undergo further legal proceedings. They are charged with Article 435 of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison or a fine of up to Rp. 5 billion.
