Pramono Anung admits that BUMD officials still have high egos, for example at JIS and Ancol

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo admitted that officials, including in the DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) environment, still have a high ego.

Pramono also assessed that this condition made inter-institutional communication and cooperation not run optimally.

"Our main problem is often ego among officials, including the BUMD officials, the communication does not go well," said Pramono at the BUMD Leaders Forum 2026 in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 18.

He gave an example of the lack of synergy between the Ancol area and the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), even though both of them belong to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).

According to Pramono, for years, the two areas stood alone, without good connectivity.

For this reason, he said, the DKI Provincial Government is currently starting to connect Ancol and JIS with a bridge of about 350 meters.

In addition, transportation access is also prepared to make it easier to reach these two areas.

"Soon we will inaugurate it. In June, KRL will also stop below, between Ancol and JIS," said Pramono.

He said the construction of the bridge was carried out because the two areas often caused congestion, especially during major events at JIS.

Pramono admitted that he had experienced the condition directly. In fact, his car couldn't get out for two hours while attending an event in the area.

He assessed that if Ancol and JIS were synergized, the benefits could be felt by many parties, ranging from BUMD, the community, to the DKI Provincial Government.

Therefore, Pramono emphasized the importance of changing the way of work and communication in the BUMD environment so that it is more open and interconnected.
