"I want to admit this, that I may not always respect the culture of bureaucracy. I brought a lot of people from outside in, young professionals who may create friction," said Nadiem.

He also admitted that his nature, which was too focused on work professionalism, made him miss out on carrying out political and social functions.

"I may be less polite in the way I present myself. I lack respect and lack respect for figures, both in society and politics. I was wrong to understand that part of my job is a political function," he added.

Nadiem realized that during his term of office, there were words or behaviors that might offend various parties. In a humble tone, he expressed his deepest apologies.

"For this, I would like to apologize. I would like to apologize as much as possible if there are words or behaviors I made as a minister that are not pleasing," he said.

Seven months apart from family and children, Nadiem admitted that it was a very difficult time. However, he admitted that he was still optimistic and got inspiration from Indonesian historical figures who had experienced greater sacrifices than him.

"It gives me strength, gives me inspiration, and that's why even in a dire situation like this, I'm still optimistic. I still love my country, I believe that justice is still the basic principle of the country I love," he concluded.
