JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the House of Representatives Amelia Anggraini received an award as a Legislator Concerned about Literacy and Digital Space in the 2026 KWP Award.

This award was given by the Parliamentary Journalists Coordinating Board (KWP) as a form of appreciation for Amelia's consistency in monitoring digital transformation issues and public protection in cyberspace.

The award ceremony took place at the DPR/MPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, April 16.

This forum was also attended by a number of important figures, including the Speaker of the DPR Puan Maharani, the Chairman of the MPR Ahmad Muzani, the Chairman of the DPD Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, to the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir.

After being awarded this award, Amelia Anggraini expressed gratitude and at the same time meant it as a reminder of the great responsibility in maintaining the national digital ecosystem.

"I accept this award with gratitude, as well as a reminder that work in the digital space must continue to be maintained so that it really benefits the community," said Amelia.

The member of the commission who deals with communication and digital said that digital literacy is not just an understanding of technology, but a foundation for ethics and community protection. He also gave special attention to the vulnerability of young people, women, and children to the risk of disinformation and misuse of technology.

"The digital space must be a healthy, safe, enlightening space, and not allow the public to walk alone in the face of information flooding. This award is not for me as a final point, but rather an encouragement to continue to strengthen child protection in cyberspace and governance of digital platforms," he said.

The NasDem legislator from the Central Java VII District also gave the highest appreciation to media colleagues, especially the KWP, who have been critical in escorting parliamentary work. According to him, a healthy press is a strategic partner in maintaining democracy and building public awareness in the era of digital transformation.

In addition, he said, the presence of various leaders of state institutions and representatives from the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, to the Attorney General's Office in the event showed that the issue of digital literacy has now become a national priority agenda.

Through this appreciation, Amelia hopes that Indonesia's digital space in the future can be more inclusive and in the interests of the people.
