KWP Award 2026, Sarmuji Receives Responsive Legislator Award for Public Aspirations

Chairman of the Golkar Party Faction in the DPR, Muhammad Sarmuji, received an award as a 'Responsive Legislator to Public Aspirations' in the 2026 KWP Award event.

JAKARTA - Golkar Party DPR Faction Chairman Muhammad Sarmuji received an award as 'Responsive Legislator to Public Aspiration' in the 2026 KWP Award event. Sarmuji was considered as a figure of Deputy People's Representative who actively responds to public aspirations.

Sarmuji expressed his appreciation for the award given by the Parliamentary Journalists Coordinating Board (KWP). He considered the award as an acknowledgment of the political work that had been carried out.

"First, thank you to the KWP. I was given the award for a legislator who is responsive to public aspirations," said Sarmuji after receiving the award at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, April 15.

The legislator from the East Java constituency emphasized that the award was also a form of personal recognition for his role in responding to community needs.

"Personally, I was given an award as a politician who is responsive to public aspirations," he said.

According to him, this award is relevant to the efforts that have been made in Parliament in absorbing and advocating for people's aspirations.

"The award is relevant and of course I feel honored by the award from the KWP because this award reflects the work that has been done in Parliament," he said.

The KWP Award 2026 is not only a ceremonial event, but also a symbol of supervision and appreciation from parliamentary journalists for the performance of representatives of the people. Through this award, legislators are expected to be further encouraged to continue to present policies that are in the public interest and support the realization of a Golden Indonesia.

To note, the KWP Award 2026 is a routine biennial agenda that carries the theme 'Guarding the Struggle, Appreciating Dedication: Together Creating a Golden Indonesia'. This event aims to objectively portray the performance of leaders and representatives of the people through press observation.

This year's event recorded more than 60 nominations for award recipients. For information, this award-giving tradition has been consistent, such as the KWP Awards 2021 led by Marlen Erikson Sitompul and the KWP Awards 2023 which were chaired by Ariawan together with Samrut Lellosima.

The implementation of the KWP Award 2026 also received broad support from a number of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and private companies that play a role in national development, including Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, GoTo, Astra, Hutama Karya, PLN, Taspen, Inalum, and others.

This support emphasizes the importance of collaboration between elements in realizing better state governance.
