JAKARTA - The Pontianak City Police Resort Traffic Unit, West Kalimantan, conducted an investigation into the cause of a garbage truck entering the fountain pool at the Pontianak Untan Digulis Roundabout.

"Our team is already at the scene of the incident, and currently we are still in the process of evacuating the truck that entered the fountain," said Head of the Pontianak Traffic Police, AKP Rio Sigal Hasibuan in Pontianak, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 7.

He explained that it was strongly suspected that the truck was due to a single traffic accident at around 04.10 WIB this morning.

"The Pontianak City Sanitation Service car with the police number KB-8384-SD which drove from the Polda Intersection to the Pontianak Untan Roundabout at high speed when it arrived at the TKP crashed into the sidewalk near a red light so that it lost control and entered the fountain pool of the Pontianak Untan Digulis Roundabout. ," he said.

He added that for the time being the victim or the driver of the garbage truck could not be questioned because he was still being treated at the Pontianak Untan Hospital, which is not far from the crime scene.

"As a result of this single accident, the driver of the garbage truck was injured in the head and bleeding from the nose, so he had to be treated at the hospital," he said.

The Pontianak City Government inaugurated the Pontianak Untan Digulis Roundabout fountain pool in 2013.

The fountain pool in the middle there is a pointed bamboo monument, then surrounded by fountains of various shapes and variations according to the pointed bamboo, and added spotlights from below whose colors can change so that the color of the fountain also seems to change.

The running time of the fountain is eight to ten hours every day. The fountain pool at the Tugu Digulis Untan Roundabout with a diameter of 50 meters is equipped with 282 water transmitter points consisting of 180 straight spray points, three crab-shaped spray points, six intelligent spray points, and 90 mist spray points, and is equipped with one filter chamber unit, and one control house unit.
