Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar spoke up regarding the report of alleged defamation filed by the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police.

In his statement, Rismon emphasized that he was a victim of manipulation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, especially deepfake, which was said to have significantly changed the content of his statement.

According to Rismon, the video that became the basis for the report was not the original recording, but an AI-based engineering result that utilized his content on the Balige Academy YouTube channel.

"The video is an AI-based edit based on my video dated March 11, 2026," he said at the Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday, April 2026.

He explained that the original content he uploaded was a scientific study. However, in the version that is circulating, the content of the discussion is said to have been twisted to create a narrative that he never said.

"It must be traced digitally, who made it and who first spread it," he said.

He also highlighted the importance of the concept of provenance or the origin of data in digital proof. According to him, the authenticity of the source is a crucial factor in determining whether a content is valid or the result of technological manipulation.

"In digital forensics, the most important thing is the authenticity of the source," he said.

Rismon emphasized that he had never communicated with Jusuf Kalla, let alone mentioning the name of the figure in his study. Therefore, he refused to be responsible for the content of the circulating video.

"I am not responsible for the visual and audio information in the AI video," he said.

His lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, added that his party chose to wait for the legal process to run. He said his client was harmed because he was still associated with statements that were allegedly the result of manipulation.

"Our clients are harmed because the statement never existed," Jahmada said.

Previously, Jusuf Kalla officially reported the alleged defamation to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

JK's lawyer, Abdul Haji Talohu, said the report was related to allegations of defamation and the spread of hoaxes involving Rismon Sianipar and a number of other parties.

"Yes, this is related to defamation by Rismon," said Abdul.

According to him, the report started from an accusation that JK was the party who funded the suspects in the case of spreading the issue of the fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The accusation was considered a serious slander.

In addition to defamation, the report also includes allegations of spreading false news through various digital platforms, including YouTube channels. One of the allegations mentions a flow of funds of up to Rp. 5 billion to the suspects in the case of alleged fake Jokowi diplomas that are rolling at the Polda Metro Jaya.

Not only Rismon, the report also includes a number of other parties, including YouTubers and owners of the Ruang Konsensus account, Budiyoso Askiliang. In one of his content, the issue also featured Mardiansyah Semar, Chairman of Rampai Nusantara.
