Drunk Man Brings Badik In Palangka Raya Arrested By Police

PALANGKA RAYA - The Central Kalimantan Police's Raimas Ditsampta team has arrested a drunk man. This man carries a sharp weapon of the badik type.

Dirsamapta Polda Central Kalimantan Kombes Susilo Wardono through Wadirsamapta AKBP Timbul RK Siregar said the arrests began when the Raimas Ditsamapta patrol team crossed Jalan Kalimantan, Palangka Raya City. At around 01.00 WIB, Sunday, June 6, the team saw a suspicious man.

"After we checked, it turned out that he was drunk and brought Sajam. The condition of being drunk and carrying Sajam is very dangerous because he is prone to violence against others," said Timbul, quoted from the statement from the Central Kalimantan Police Public Relations

The perpetrator with the initials ES (51) who works as a guard post daily admitted that he brought badik for personal safety when doing activities outside the home and also at work.

"I need to say here, that no one should carry a sharp weapon without permission from the authorities, because it is very vulnerable to being used for negative things. Especially when Sajam is drunk," said AKBP Timbul.

The perpetrators were then taken to the Central Kalimantan Police Headquarters Ditsamapta on Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 6.5, Palangka Raya City for questioning.
