JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the law is the main instrument to maintain the wealth of the nation and state as a prerequisite for realizing the welfare of the people, as well as being a crucial tool in regaining forest areas and saving state finances.

"The law is an instrument to maintain the wealth of the nation and the state. Without the wealth of the nation and the state, it is impossible for our people to live prosperously," said President Prabowo, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 10.

The President assessed that law enforcement was an important foundation to ensure that state wealth was managed optimally and used for the benefit of the wider community.

On this occasion, the Head of State highlighted various practices of violations that are still occurring and are detrimental to the country, ranging from corruption, smuggling, illegal mining, to abuse of authority.

The President reiterated his commitment not to discriminate in punishing lawbreakers in order to protect state assets.

"I will use all the authority and power given by the 1945 Constitution to the President of the Republic of Indonesia to enforce the law without discrimination," he said.

Regarding this, the President instructed law enforcement officers as well as relevant ministries and agencies to strengthen coordination in eradicating various forms of violations that harm state finances.

Prabowo reminded that safeguarding the wealth of the state was a form of service to the people, while highlighting the practice of plundering the nation's wealth that had lasted too long.

"Working in the government is a sacrifice and dedication. It has been too long for the wealth of the nation and the people to be robbed," said the President.

The President invited all elements of the nation to uphold the values of honesty, justice, and strengthen the spirit of nationalism as the foundation of national development. He realized that a firm step in defending the rights of the people would certainly face challenges.

"The more we are firm, the more we are firm, the more we defend the people, the more we will be fought, the more we will be attacked," said the President.

Previously, the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH) officially handed over funds amounting to Rp. 11.4 trillion to the state treasury as a result of the collection of administrative fines, tax revenue, and the recovery of state finances from corruption cases in the early period of 2026.

The symbolic handover of assets was carried out by the Attorney General to the Minister of Finance, witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto at the Attorney General's Office.

The funds include various state revenue instruments, ranging from fines in the forestry and environmental sectors, to tax deposits from corporations involved in forest area management.

Since it began operating in February 2025, the PKH Task Force has recorded significant achievements with a total of state assets saved reaching Rp371.1 trillion.
