JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that handling cases of manipulation of reports on handling illegal parking in Kalisari Village will not stop at field officers.

This case came to light after the use of artificial intelligence (AI) based photos in the follow-up report of citizen complaints through the JAKI application.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is now lowering the Inspectorate to conduct an in-depth investigation. Pramono said the examination was carried out thoroughly, ranging from the level of the village to the technical unit below it.

"Now the Inspectorate is conducting an in-depth investigation, both to the Lurah Ibu, who is in Kalisari, then the PPSU, then the Sudin. Everything will be revealed in due course," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, April 7.

He emphasized that it was not appropriate to directly blame the Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU) officers. According to him, the alleged manipulation using AI did not come from that level.

Pramono asked the Inspectorate to focus on tracing the parties who made and uploaded the manipulative content into the system.

"If you blame the PPSU, you can't either, the PPSU is definitely not the person who did or manipulated the AI," said Pramono.

Even though the sub-district has apologized, the DKI Provincial Government ensures that the inspection process continues.

"What I ask for is to be investigated to find out who did the AI, then who uploaded it. Even though the head of the village has apologized, I still ask the Inspectorate to investigate this," he explained.

The controversy over the use of artificial intelligence (AI) based photos in the report on handling illegal parking on Jalan Damai, Kalisari, East Jakarta, resulted in sanctions being imposed on the relevant officers.

Previously, this complaint was submitted on social media. Where, residents suspected that the follow-up report at JAKI by officers was conveyed through a photo of handling illegal parking that was edited using AI features.

Lurah Kalisari Siti Nurhasanah apologized for the incident. He admitted that the upload became a public concern and tarnished the trust in the reporting of handling in the field.

"We apologize for this incident. This is a lesson for us so that it does not happen again in the future. The concerned officer has been given SP1 and made a statement not to repeat his actions," said Siti, Monday, April 6.

He explained that the public infrastructure and facilities handling officers (PPSU) had followed up on citizen reports regarding illegal parking that entered through JAKI. However, in its implementation, the report was accompanied by photos of the results of engineering that depicted as if the conditions at the location were orderly.

"This action then went viral on social media. I have asked that when there are problems or obstacles in the field, they should immediately report so that solutions can be found," he explained.
