East Java - In the plan to implement subscription parking, the Transportation Service of the Mojokerto City Government said this program benefits residents. Just by sticking a subscription parking sticker on a vehicle, residents can enjoy free parking on the edge of the public road (TJU) officially.

Head of the Mojokerto City Transportation Office, Mochammad Hekamarta Fananidi, said the policy had been prepared in accordance with the applicable rules to provide certainty of service to the public.

"The subscription parking policy has gone through the drafting process in accordance with legal regulations and aims to provide certainty of services to the public," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 3.

He explained that this program actually makes it easier for residents because they no longer have to pay parking fees every time they park because with the subscription system, residents only have to pay once for one year.

"This program actually provides convenience and cost efficiency for the community compared to the conventional parking system," he said.

In its implementation, he said, subscription parking is valid for vehicles with Mojokerto City license plates who have paid vehicle taxes at Samsat and have a subscription parking sticker and residents can park without additional cost at the official TJU in Mojokerto City for one year.

He explained that the tariff was relatively light, namely Rp20 thousand per year for motorcycles, Rp30 thousand for cars with a certain weight, and Rp35 thousand for larger vehicles.

According to him, this policy also has an impact on increasing local original income (PAD). With increased income, the development of Mojokerto City can run faster and more evenly, the benefits of which will also be felt by the community directly.

"This program is also considered capable of minimizing the leakage of parking fees in the field. Residents no longer make repeated payments to parking attendants, so the system becomes more orderly and transparent," he said.

He explained that the Mojokerto City Government remained open to various inputs and suggestions.

"The Mojokerto City Government respects every input as part of democracy, while ensuring that policies remain in the interests of the wider community," he said.
