JAKARTA - US and Israeli forces attacked two piers in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's semi-official news agency, Tasnim, reported on Wednesday (1/4).

"US and Israeli fighter jets targeted Doha's fishing docks on Qeshm Island as well as fishing and trading docks in Bandar-e Charak," said Deputy Governor of Hormozgan Province Ahmad Nafisi, quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, April 2.

Two people were injured on Qeshm Island and three in Bandar-e Charak, according to the initial examination.

The search and rescue team deployed to the location is still continuing operations, said Nafisi.

He said on March 31, the Bahman Wharf on Qeshm Island was also attacked.

Nafisi said the sea water desalination facility on the island was targeted in the early days of the war.

He said attacks also took place at the Shahid Haghani Port in Bandar Abbas on Tuesday.
