The victim continued, the police chief was tempted by the offer, so the person concerned handed over the money as capital in stages by transfer or cash within the period 26 September 2020 to 26 May 2021.

"The total capital submitted by the victim reached Rp. 743 million. The victim had received profit-sharing money from the perpetrator every month, from October 2020 to May 2021," said Kombes M Firman.

In addition, he said, the perpetrator also promised to return part of the capital that the victim had deposited on June 2, 2021.

However, until maturity, the perpetrator could not return it and after checking it turned out to be a fictitious business, so the victim reported the case to the Banyumas Police.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Berry, said that based on the report, his party immediately conducted an investigation and succeeded in securing the perpetrator with the initials AK on Thursday, June 3.

"For the purposes of further investigation, the perpetrator along with evidence in the form of a bundle of Bank BCA bank statements and a Bank BCA savings book in the name of the perpetrator have been secured at the Banyumas Police Headquarters. NS will be charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or 372 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of four years," he said.
