BOGOR - Member of the Bogor City DPRD, Dedi Mulyono, highlighted the minimal involvement of residents in the operation of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) even though the number has reached 125 points in the area.
"When I went down to the field, there were residents who said directly, 'Sir, SPPG is here, but we were never invited to participate in the work.' This must be a serious concern," said Dedi, Friday, March 27.
According to him, this condition shows that the benefits of the program have not been fully felt by the community at the grassroots level. Residents, he said, hope to be involved and get job opportunities in their own living environment.
"There are even those who say, 'We only see his activities every day, but he is never invited to work.' This is ironic," he said.
Dedi emphasized that every SPPG should prioritize labor from the surrounding environment, ranging from the RT, RW levels, to the sub-district. He considered it important as a form of justice for people living around the program location.
"If SPPG stands in one area, then the residents there must be the first to be involved. This is not just about the program, but about justice," he said.
He also encouraged that the recruitment process for labor should involve local area managers, such as RT and RW, so that the absorption of labor is more targeted.
"RT and RW know best who their citizens need jobs. Don't let this opportunity be taken by outsiders," he said.
Dedi reminded that large-scale SPPG programs should not cause disappointment among the public. Instead, the program must be able to become an economic driver at the local level.
"If the surrounding residents work and have an income, the economy at the RT and RW level will live. This is what we must take care of," he said.
Based on data from the National Nutrition Agency, the number of SPPGs that have operated in Bogor City has reached 125 points. Dedi assessed that this is an important momentum to ensure that the program is truly in the public interest.
"This is not just about numbers, but how this program is really felt by the people. Don't let them just be spectators in their own homes," he concluded.
