Oleng's Truck on Nagreg Tabrak Road Hits Pedestrian to Death

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police (Polresta) in West Java recorded one death and two injuries due to an accident involving a box truck on Jalan Raya Nagreg on Friday (27/3).

Kanit Gakkum Polresta Bandung IptuLilim said the victim died while crossing the road when the traffic flow at the location was still crowded and smooth.

"The truck was swaying when the situation was in a crowded situation and hit a woman who was crossing the road to death," he explained as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 27.

The police immediately evacuated the victim and the box truck that was leaning to the right lane to secure the traffic flow and ensure the safety of other road users.

The joint officers had evacuated the female victim to the Cicalengka Regional General Hospital (RSUD), but died on the way due to the severe condition of the wound.

"The male victim suffered minor injuries and received treatment on site, while the female victim suffered serious injuries due to the collision and died on the way," he explained.

According to Lilim, the Hino box truck with the police number B-9510-CXR was traveling from West Cicalengka to East Nagreg and was suspected of being unbalanced because the driver was not concentrating when passing through the location of the incident.

He also emphasized the importance of vigilance on the road so that similar incidents do not recur and appealed to the public to remain vigilant while driving, obey traffic signs, and pay attention to pedestrian safety.

"This incident is a warning for all drivers to always be focused and careful, especially on busy and accident-prone roads," he said.
