JAKARTA - The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) Tangerang, Banten which is managed by PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airpots) managed to rank 22nd as the world's best airport class according to Skytrax 2026.
At the World Airport Awards held by Skytrax in London on March 18, 2026, Soekarno-Hatta Airport managed to enter the list of the World's Top 100 Airports.
"With this 22nd position, Soetta Airport has risen from 25th position in the previous year. This achievement is one of the most prestigious in the global aviation industry," said General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadidalam keterangannya di Tangerang, Senin.
According to him, the achievement of the world's best airport is based on the assessment carried out through the World Airport Survey which involves passengers from more than 100 countries, with the survey period running from August 2025 to February 2026.
The survey covers various aspects of services, ranging from check-in, arrival, transit, commercial areas, security and immigration, to departure gates.
"We are committed to continuing to provide the best experience and improving the quality of services in accordance with the expectations of the community," he said.
Heru said the results were motivation to continue to maintain service standards while strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders.

He explained that a number of transformations that have been carried out by Soekarno-Hatta Airport focus on three main pillars, namely Premises, Process, and People. This effort includes improving the quality of infrastructure and facilities, strengthening synergies between stakeholders, and improving the quality of services by all personnel to provide a world-class journey experience.
In the last three years, the trend of increasing the ranking of Soekarno-Hatta Airport has shown consistent progress, from ranking 28 in 2024, increasing to ranking 25 in 2025, to now reaching the world's 22nd ranking in 2026.
Various service developments also support this achievement, including the beautification of Terminal 3, the operation of the Special Terminal for Hajj and Umrah 2F, and the revitalization of Terminal 1C which now presents a modern concept combined with a touch of Indonesian culture.
