Muhammadiyah Lombok Tengah Holds Salat Id at 3 Locations

LOMBOK TENGAH - The Muhammadiyah congregation in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) held the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Fitr prayer in three locations.

The location of the Eid al-Fitr prayer is. in the courtyard of the local Muhammadiyah Office, Darul Falah Mosque, and Madjid Darusalam Kopang District.

"Today, the Central Lombok Muhammadiyah congregation held the Eid al-Fitr prayer at three points, namely in Praya, Kopang, and Mantang," said a manager of Central Lombok Muhammadiyah as the Khatib of the Eid al-Fitr prayer Nasri Budget in Central Lombok, Friday, March 20, reported by ANTARA.

He said this Eid al-Fitr not only belongs to the Muhammadiyah congregation, but all Muslim believers in the world, even though there is a difference in the determination of 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah.

His party had long carried out socialization about the implementation of the Eid al-Fitr prayer so that residents were not surprised when the Eid prayer was carried out.

"The government has set 1 Syawal, March 21, 2026. But far in advance we have carried out socialization, the Eid al-Fitr prayer will be held on March 20, 2026," he said.

He said Eid al-Fitr reopened the true meaning, namely, returning to fitrah or purity, after a full month of fasting in Ramadan.

He emphasized to the pilgrims that the strengthening of piety after Ramadan should be increased, the integration of the role of man as Abdullah and Khalifatullah, and the implementation of Islamic values which are rahmatan lil alamin.

"The heart must remain clean and the main focus is to maintain consistency in charitable deeds, strengthen the nation's decency, care for the environment, and strengthen social ties," he said.

He invited the congregation to remain steadfast in worship (salat, tadarus, charity) and good behavior even though Ramadan has ended, not just a seasonal worship.

"Let's stay consistent in spreading kindness, forgiving each other for mistakes, both for ourselves and others, and cleaning our hearts, don't plant hatred," he said.

He appealed to the congregation to maintain religious tolerance, even though Lebaran has been carried out today, because there are still residents who are carrying out fasting according to government regulations.

"Don't eat and drink vulgarly or excessively in public places, so as not to disturb Muslims who are fasting on this last day," he said.
