Bandung - Garut Homecoming Route Through Kadungora Reportedly Smooth

JAKARTA - The traffic flow of vehicles on the Bandung-Garut homecoming route through Kadungora-Leles-Garut City was smoothly crossed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled travelers from Bandung to the Garut Regency urban area, West Java, Tuesday midnight.

Observation in the field at 23.30 WIB, the speed of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles can travel at normal speed without any significant obstacles along the route.

However, the vehicle speed slowed down when entering the railway crossing in the Kadungora area, and even a long queue of vehicles from both directions occurred when the crossing gate was closed to wait for the train to pass.

The condition did not last long when the train passed through the crossing gate, and the vehicle queue immediately dispersed and the flow returned to normal.

The Kadungora-Garut cross-provincial route at night is relatively quiet, although at previous points during the day it is quite crowded due to community activities at Leles Market, and also at the intersection.

One of the road users from Garut, Kusuma (39) said that the traffic flow of vehicles from Bandung to Garut through Kadungora was quite smooth, did not find any congestion during the evening homecoming trip.

"Alhamdulillah, the normal journey is like a normal day on the Kadungora, Leles, to Garut route, usually if it is jammed, it is usually diverted through the new road in Kadungora, now it is straight," he said, who traveled from Bandung to Garut.

The Garut Police in carrying out security for Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 deployed 1,747 joint personnel consisting of 431 Garut Police personnel, 169 assistance personnel from the West Java Police, and 1,147 personnel from various institutions such as the TNI, Dishub, Linmas, Satpol PP, Damkar, PMI, Health Office, Basarnas, and volunteers.

The Garut Police have prepared security and service posts spread across various strategic points such as on national roads and provincial roads, terminals, and Garut urban centers, then security posts at tourist attractions.
