Cilacap Regent Caught in OTT KK, PKB: Lesson Not to Play Around

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) responded to the news that Cilacap Regent Syamsul Aulia Rachman, who was caught in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, March 13. PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid said that his party respects all legal processes that are running at the KPK.

"We respect all legal processes, uphold the law," said Hasanuddin when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 13.

According to Hasanuddin, the arrest of the Regent of Cilacap is a lesson for all regional heads, especially those supported by PKB to always comply with the rules of the invitation law. He emphasized that there should not be a single cadre who plays around and takes actions against the law.

"And this is a lesson for everyone to be more obedient to the rules of the game, not to play around and always protect themselves from all acts against the law," said Hasanuddin.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in Central Java today, March 13. Cilacap Regent Syamsul Aulia Rachman was one of those caught in this activity.

"It's true (the Regent of Cilacap was caught red-handed, ed)," said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters via an SMS, Friday, March 13.

Even so, Fitroh has not detailed the number of parties who have been secured. The same is true for the case.
