JAKARTA - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah finally spoke up regarding the certainty of the 2026 hajj in the midst of the dynamics of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, who is familiarly called Gus Irfan, emphasized that until now the departure of Indonesian pilgrims is still running according to schedule.

"Today is still on schedule, there has been no change. Alhamdulillah, hopefully this will continue until H," said Gus Irfan to reporters at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 11.

Although the departure schedule is still running normally, the government will continue to monitor the development of security situations in the Middle East region before making a final decision regarding the implementation of the 2026 hajj.
