The number of victims of the Israeli attack in Lebanon has reached 570 since the beginning of March.

JAKARTA - The number of deaths due to the Israeli attack in Lebanon has reached 570 people, with another 1,444 civilians injured, since March 2.

"The total number of victims of the Israeli aggression since March 2 has reached 570 people, with 1,444 people injured," said the Lebanese Government's crisis center, Tuesday (10/3), reported by ANTARA from Sputnik.

In early March, rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Israel and the Lebanese Shiite movement, Hezbollah, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Israeli army then retaliated with massive attacks on a number of densely populated areas throughout the country, including Beirut.

Hundreds of thousands of people have begun leaving their homes to seek refuge in safer areas of Lebanon.
