22 Residents Positive For COVID-19 After Tahlilan, RT In Cilincing Lockdown

JAKARTA - A total of 22 residents in RT 01 RW 04 Semper Barat Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta have tested positive for COVID-19.

Head of RW 04 Semper Barat, M. Roji said, one of the people who tested positive for COVID-19 died. Now, there are 21 residents who are undergoing isolation at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Hospital and the Workers' Hospital.

"Currently, there are 21 people in all, based on the test results from May 31 to June 2. Finally, there are only 8 additional positive people. They were immediately taken by school bus to be isolated," Roji told reporters, Thursday, June 3.

Roji said, currently the RT is in lockdown. This follows the rules for implementing micro-scale community activity restrictions (PPKM). If there are more than 10 cases in 1 RT, then a mini-lockdown must be carried out.

"So, it has been closed since last Monday (1 June). Residents of RT 01 are not allowed to go out," he said.

Chairman of RT 01 RW 04 Semper Barat, Mulyadi said that the beginning of the COVID-19 cluster in his area occurred when one of the residents with the initials A died positive for COVID-19.

A's body was buried in the Public Cemetery (TPU) specifically for the bodies of COVID-19 patients in Rorotan, Cilincing, North Jakarta. Family A held tahlilan at his house.

Until finally the Semper Barat Village Health Center carried out a COVID-19 examination for family A.

"There were instructions from the puskesmas that his family had to be swabbed. Then he immediately got (positive), his family, his parents and their child, three people," Mulyadi explained.

Finally, the village head of Semper Barat immediately conducted contact tracing and carried out a mass swab of 95 people. "The result is that from 95 people, the number is almost 22 who are exposed," he continued.
