Police Reveal Online Prostitution In Kendari Involving Middle School Students

KENDARI - The police have uncovered an online prostitution case that allegedly involved a girl who was still a junior high school student.

Mandonga Police Chief AKP I Ketut Arya Wijanarka said his party had arrested a woman with the initials DSN (25), allegedly the person who sold her own 15-year-old friend to a masher through online.

"Initially, the victim's parents named S (46) looked for their child at a friend's house named I, and asked I where the victim was, but at that time the victim was not at I's house," said Arya, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 3.

The victim's mother then contacted the DSN perpetrator to ask where the victim was, and at that time the DSN actor replied that the victim was at the Putri Blood Hotel.

Hearing DSN's statement, Mrs. I then told the victim's parents that ZA was at the Putri Blood Hotel with the perpetrator. The victim's parents went to look for the victim at the hotel, but did not find the child.

"The victim's parents then returned to their house and then went to look for their child back in house I, and at that time the victim's parents met their child with the perpetrator, so the victim's parents were angry with the victim and the perpetrator," he said.

The victim then told his mother that he had been sold by the DSN perpetrator by way of open BO (online booking).

"Regarding this incident, the victim's parents reported it to the Mandonga Police, and then the members arrested the DSN perpetrator," he said.

To the police, the DSN perpetrator admitted to selling the victim to a masculine man at a rate of Rp. 600 thousand. The victim gets Rp100 thousand, while the perpetrator gets Rp500 thousand for food needs.

The perpetrator is subject to Article 88 in conjunction with Article 76I of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection.
