Anindya Bakrie Absent Again in Mediation of West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Case, PN Jaksel Postponed to March 16

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Bakrie again did not attend the mediation hearing for the dispute lawsuit of the West Java Chamber of Commerce at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, March 5, 2026. The mediation, which was scheduled for 10.30 WIB, took place without the presence of the main defendants and was only represented by lawyers.

Apart from Anindya, the defendants who were also absent were Deputy Chairman of the Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho, Deputy Chairman Widiyanto Daputro, Deputy Chairman Erwin Aksa, and Almer Faiq Rusy. Because the principal was not present, the mediation process was postponed until March 16, 2026. If by the deadline the parties still do not attend, the mediation is considered not to reach an agreement and the case continues to trial.

The plaintiff's lawyer, Roy Sianipar, regretted Anindya's absence. According to him, without the presence of the principal, the plaintiff's "spiritual atmosphere" was not conveyed. However, his party is ready to continue the case at the trial table if mediation fails on March 16.

Another lawyer, Cacan Cahyadi, hopes that the panel of judges will decide the case clearly. He said he believed in Judge Eman Selaeman. "I believe in Judge Eman Selaeman... he is a judge who cannot be intervened in," said Cacan.

During the mediation, mediator judge Sri Wiguna interviewed the parties. The plaintiffs were summoned one by one, while the defendant was represented by a lawyer. Sri emphasized that the condition of the peace caucus was the presence of the principal. Because he was not present, he offered a time extension until March 16 as the final deadline for mediation.

Two plaintiffs, Rajab Prijadi (Chairman of the Garut Regency Chamber of Commerce) and Mulyadi (Chairman of the Indramayu Chamber of Commerce), admitted to being disappointed. They stated that they would continue to fight for the enforcement of organizational rules, from AD/ART to the Organization Regulation. "The Chamber of Commerce must return to its dignity, namely an organization that runs according to the rules," said Rajab.

The lawsuit stems from the duality of the West Java Chamber of Commerce after the 8th Muprov West Java Chamber of Commerce was held on September 24, 2025. There are two, namely in Bogor and Bandung. The plaintiffs questioned the Bogor Muprov which produced Almer Faiq Rusyidi because it was considered defective in rules, while the Bandung Muprov appointed Nizar Sungkar as the General Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce. Roy said that Anindya actually appointed Almer in Cirebon on November 27, 2025, although there was a promise to bring the two camps together.

The lawsuit is registered with the number 1356/Pdt.G/2025/PN JKT.SEL with the defendants including Anindya Bakrie, Taufan Eko Nugroho, Widiyanto Daputro, and Erwin Aksa.
