Circulating THR Request Letter to Port Transportation Entrepreneurs, the Police Chief Explains

JAKARTA - A letter requesting a holiday allowance (THR) in the name of the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Tanjung Priok Port Police was sent to the Tanjung Priok Port area transportation operators.

The letter contains a letterhead, number, and even a note written for "participants in the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H in 2026" dated March 4, 2026.

In fact, the letter is addressed to the Director/Head of the PT. KPA Transportation Company and includes a signature on behalf of the staff.

The letter reads: "In order to welcome the 1447 H / 2026 M Eid al-Fitr, we, the Sat Lantas family of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, hope for a Hari Raya Allowance for Mr/Mrs/Brother/Sister, for his/her participation and cooperation".

Responding to the circulation of the letter, the Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief, AKBP Aris Wibowo denied that the Tanjung Priok Port Police issued the letter.

"We from the Tanjung Priok Port Police have never issued the letter," he said when confirmed, Thursday, March 5, 2026.

AKBP Aris said that his party had coordinated with the Aptrindo management.

"From Aptrindo, they have also issued a clarification letter," he said.

However, the police will investigate the circulation of the letter which had caused a stir.

"For this incident, we will investigate the party who represents the Tanjung Priok Port Police," he said.
