JAKARTA - Iran has stated that it does not plan to negotiate with the United States and will continue the hostilities between them.
Mohammad Mokhber, an aide to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday (4/3), stressed that Iran does not trust the US.
"There is no trust in America, nor is there any reason to negotiate," he said in a televised broadcast as reported by ANTARA from Sputni, Wednesday, March 4.
According to Mokhber, Iran can continue the war because it has eight years of experience, referring to the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988).
"Historical experience shows that we are not afraid of war, we are not afraid to continue it," he said.
Previously, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed not to let the attacks launched by the US and Israel last Saturday go unanswered.
The attack was launched against a number of targets in Iran, including in Tehran, with reports of damage and civilian casualties. Iranian state television confirmed that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the attack.
Iran then launched a retaliatory missile attack on Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
The IRGC accused the US-Israel of attacking schools, hospitals, stadiums, restaurants, and wedding halls to panic the Iranian people. They said the civilian casualties had exceeded 700 people.
