BEKASI - The Bekasi Metro Police (Polres) have dismantled a rented house that was used as a warehouse to store 187,570 illegal G-class hard drugs in the South Tambun District, Bekasi Regency through a security and public order patrol operation.

"Strict action against the circulation of illegal hard drugs is a manifestation of commitment to maintaining public security and order," said Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Sumarni, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 4.

He explained that the disclosure of this case began with community information which was followed up by officers through patrols at two vulnerable points, namely Jalan Warung Doyong Kebon Kelapa and Jalan Kampung Cibuntu, South Tambun District.

The patrol, which was directly led by the Police Chief, suspected a young man on Jalan Warung Doyong, Kebon Kelapa Village. After the examination was carried out, evidence was found in the form of 18 sheets (180 pieces) of tramadol, 27 clips (108 pieces) of hexymer and money from sales worth Rp. 1,287,000.

The officers then conducted an initial interrogation of the perpetrator with the initials AR until it led to a rented house suspected of being the location of storage of illegal hard drug stockpiles.

The police immediately moved quickly to carry out a search and managed to secure fantastic evidence, including 136 bottles (136,000 pieces) of Hexymer, 28 bottles (28,000 pieces) of Double Y, 2,267 sheets (22,670 pieces) of Try X, 80 sheets (800 pieces) of Tramadol.

"The total evidence reached hundreds of thousands of illegal hard drugs that were allegedly ready to be distributed and targeted at teenagers and the general public. We also seized one iPhone mobile phone, one red Honda Vario motorcycle with the number B 5707 FJZ and two BCA Bank ATM cards," he said.

The alleged perpetrator was immediately secured and handed over to the Narcotics Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police for further legal proceedings.

The Police Chief ensured that he would take firm action against the network of illegal drug circulation to its roots while continuing to carry out patrols that not only target potential kamtibmas disturbances such as fights and street crimes.

"We are also focusing on the circulation of illegal hard drugs that damage the younger generation. This is a serious concern because the impact is very dangerous, especially for teenagers and we will continue to increase patrols, disclosure and firm action against the perpetrators," he said.
