Corruption Rehabilitation of 2 SMAN Buildings in West Sumbawa, Kejari is Waiting for Auditor's Work

Sumbawa Barat - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) West District Attorney's Office (Kejari) coordinated with the auditor to complete the discussion of the calculation of state financial losses in the alleged corruption case of the rehabilitation project for SMAN 2 Taliwang and SMAN 1 Seteluk buildings.

Head of the West Sumbawa District Attorney Agung Pamungkas emphasized that coordination with the auditor from the inspectorate was the final step for investigators in the stage of clearing.

"If that is the case, we will hand it over to the public prosecutor," he said in Mataram, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.

Agung as the new Head of the West Sumbawa District Attorney's Office, who took office in 2026, replacing Titin Herawati, did not deny that handling this case was included in the list of pending investigations since the establishment of the suspect in May 2024.

With this handling condition, he ensured that his party was now focused on being able to immediately resolve the case.

"I will finish the arrears first. The rest (development) will come later," he said.

In mid-May 2024, the West Sumbawa District Attorney's Office, when led by Titin Herawati, announced the establishment of a suspect with the initials MI, a project commitment officer (PPK) from the NTB Education and Culture Service.

The prosecutor named MI as a suspect by applying Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

According to the prosecutor's independent calculation, in the corruption case of these two schools, there was a state loss of up to Rp3.9 billion.

According to the prosecutor, this figure is the total loss of the work that swallowed the special allocation funds for 2021.

The rehabilitation project of SMAN 2 Taliwang and SMAN 1 Seteluk cost Rp. 4.4 billion. The project is divided into seven work items including rehabilitation and building construction items at both schools.

The company working on this project is CV with the initials CM with a bid value of Rp3.7 billion with the Estimated Own Price (HPS) reaching Rp3.9 billion.
