JAKARTA - The US Embassy in Riyadh was targeted by two drones, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday.

The attack caused limited fires and minor damage to the building, the ministry said in a post on X, Al Arabiya reported (3/3).

The drone attack comes amid ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks on Gulf states, following US and Israeli attacks on Iran that began Saturday.

It is known that the US and Iran held "Operation Epic Furry" version of Washington or "Operation Roaring Lion" version of Tel Aviv on Saturday, quoted from ABC.

The attack left hundreds of people dead in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of senior Tehran officials.

The Mullah's country then responded to the attack by launching a wave of Israeli missiles and drones, US military bases in the Gulf region and British military bases in Cyprus.

Citing CBS News, the US military on Monday said the death toll of its soldiers in the latest conflict with Iran had reached six.

US President Donald Trump told NewsNation that people would soon know what retaliation would be taken in response to the attack on the US embassy in Riyadh and the death of US military personnel during the Iran conflict, a reporter uploaded to the media's X social media, citing an interview with him.
