JAKARTA - The Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) State Mosque provides up to 700 portions of takjil per day for people who want to break the fast, during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

"Every day, about 700 portions are prepared for residents who come to break the fast, so that the sweetness and warmth are not only felt in the tongue, but also from the togetherness in the mosque before the Maghrib call to prayer, even until Tarawih," said Deputy for Social, Culture, and Empowerment of the IKN Authority, Alimuddin, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, March 1.

He said the IKN State Mosque wanted to continue to maintain togetherness to unite the people through a joint fast-breaking with the preparation of takjil, the main menu is Bubur Nusantara which is cooked in the mosque courtyard in the core area of the government center.

He said that the presence of Bubur Nusantara was part of an effort to raise the local wisdom of the IKN area and the buffer area, this is because the recipe for the porridge comes from Samarinda Seberang, East Kalimantan, is passed down from generation to generation and is usually only served during Ramadan.

The porridge with a light brown color with a sprinkling of golden spice powder was cooked for about an hour and a half in the mosque kitchen.

Various spices that are mixed in the curry sauce are the key to deliciousness. From a simple kitchen, local tastes find their stage in the Capital of the Nusantara.

"We are trying to raise local wisdom around IKN and East Kalimantan, hopefully it will be more widely known. The general public is welcome to come to the National Mosque. We are trying to make this place a symbol of harmony and diversity," he said.

In this growing Nusantara, Bubur Nusantara is not just a fasting-breaking meal. It is a symbol that Nusantara is built for everyone, without distinction of race, religion, or class.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Tasrik, one of the cooks, said that the curry spice is the identity of Bubur Nusantara. The aroma of the spices is what makes the porridge special.

Towards the time of breaking the fast, people began to arrive. Employees, construction workers, families, and children sat side by side without barriers.

Not only Muslims, non-Muslim communities also attended to enjoy the atmosphere of Ramadan together. A bowl of porridge is a simple bridge that brings together various backgrounds in the same space.

Muslih, a house keeping worker at the ASN House of Assembly, admitted that he always looked forward to the breaking of the fast at the IKN National Mosque.

"It's fun to break the fast here. Many people come to enjoy takjil with a variety of menus. Bubur Nusantara tastes really good, savory, addictive," he said.
