PAM Jaya again continues the program of distributing free water towers for Jakarta residents. This program targets customers in category 2A1 and 2A2 with a building area of less than 70 square meters.

This step is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between the DKI Jakarta Provincial TP PKK and PAM Jaya Women's Power regarding Community Social Assistance for Jakarta residents. The main target is customers who are considered to need water storage facilities so that supplies remain available, especially in areas with limited water pressure.

PAM Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin said the free tower program was part of strengthening services from the customer's side, not just expanding the piping network.

"We understand that access to water is not only about the piping network, but also about how the water can be stored and used properly in people's homes," said Arief in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 25.

In the initial phase, PAM Jaya has realized the distribution of 100 towers in the Padamulya, Angke, West Jakarta area. Currently, as many as 150 towers have been redistributed to residents in Kamal Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta. Distribution will be carried out gradually to other areas in Jakarta.

"Through this free tower program, we are very helped by the cooperation with TP PKK so that we can help families in Jakarta to have a safer and more stable water reserve, especially in areas far from the supply," said Arief.

"The same is true for the new free connection program for 2A1 and 2A2 customers with the aim of facilitating access to water for every citizen. The target of 2,000 towers in 2026 is a form of our commitment so that the benefits are felt more widely and evenly," he continued.

The review and tower handover activities were attended by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta TP PKK, Hani Pramono Anung, and the Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta TP PKK, Dewi Rano Karno. One of the residents who received assistance, Sri, admitted that he was helped by the free tower.

"We feel helped because we don't have to buy a tower. This is very useful for our family. Thank you for the attention of the Governor, PAM Jaya, and local government officials," said Sri.

This program targets the distribution of 2,000 free water towers throughout 2026. PAM Jaya said that this assistance is expected to help ensure the availability of quality water in every customer's home, especially for residents who are far from the supply or have low water pressure.
