Prabowo-King Abdullah II Strengthen Cooperation for Palestinian Peace

President Prabowo Subianto at a meeting with King Abdullah II at the Basman Palace, Amman, Jordan, stated Indonesia's commitment to cooperate with Jordan in realizing peace in Palestine.

In his statement, President Prabowo said the only way to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East is a two-state solution (two state solution) with a free and sovereign Palestine.

"We hope to establish close coordination and cooperation, because Jordan is the party closest to the Gaza problem," said Prabowo, Wednesday, February 25.

In front of King Abdullah II, President Prabowo conveyed that Indonesia was ready to make every effort to encourage the achievement of this permanent solution.

Indonesia's support for peace initiatives, including its involvement in the Board of Peace and support for the 20-point plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, he said, was merely part of an effort to achieve sustainable peace.

Prabowo said Indonesia and Jordan were on the same platform in promoting regional stability.

Therefore, Prabowo hopes that the cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened, including through intensive communication between the two countries so that every development of the situation can be monitored carefully.

"We hope that this close cooperation will strengthen our common position, because I think we are on the same platform as Jordan and other countries in the region," he said.

President Prabowo stated that Indonesia wanted to know exactly what developments would happen in the future.

Prabowo again expressed his gratitude and emphasized Indonesia's commitment to supporting Jordan in various efforts being carried out.

Prabowo arrived at the Basman Palace, Ammandan was greeted directly by King Abdullah II.

The visit began with a state ceremony, a photo session and an inspection of troops, before the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting and was followed by a bilateral meeting between the Indonesian Government delegation and the Jordanian Government.

Officials who attended from the Indonesian side, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.

Meanwhile, the host officials who were present were the King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein and related officials.
