JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Pramono Anung said there was a budget cut in the Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab) for the 2021 budget year amounting to Rp26.33 billion.
This was conveyed by Pramono in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission II of the DPR regarding the evaluation of the implementation of the 2021 Setkab budget and preliminary discussions on the discussion of the RAPBN for the 2022 budget year.
"Because of COVID-19, refocusing, was cut by Rp5 billion. Then the last letter from the Minister of Finance regarding Ministry/Agency Expenditure Savings, was cut back by Rp21.33 billion," said Pramono, Wednesday, June 2.
With these budget savings, the budget ceiling of the Secretariat for 2021 which was originally IDR 339.76 billion fell to IDR 313.43 billion.
From that allocation, until May 20, 2021, Rp99.24 billion or 31.66 percent of the budget has been realized after savings. The budget is used for the Service Delivery Program to the President and Vice President and the Management Support Program.

However, in the 2022 budget year, Pramono submitted a proposal for an additional budget. This is done in order to optimize the role in providing support for cabinet management to the President and Vice President.
“The Cabinet Secretariat submitted an additional budget proposal because it was deemed necessary. We sincerely hope that the proposed additional budget for the Cabinet Secretariat can be fulfilled by the leadership and members of Commission II," said Pramono.
