Pulu Narcotics Police Arrest Man with Two Kilograms of Methamphetamine, Will Investigate Drug Network

PALU - The Narcotics Unit of the Palu Police, Central Sulawesi, has managed to arrest a man with the initials A.R.I. alias B (33), a resident of Palu City. He was arrested with evidence of two kilograms of methamphetamine.

"The disclosure was made after the operational team conducted an investigation based on public information," said Palu Police Chief Kombes Pol Hari Rosena in Palu, Sunday.

The arrest of the suspect was carried out at BTN Nabila Resident II, Jalan Manunggal, Marawola District, Sigi Regency, after officers followed from the Kayumalue area, North Palu, based on community information.

He revealed that from the results of the body, house, and vehicle searches, officers found three large packages suspected of being methamphetamine with a gross weight of 2.085 kilograms, one Samsung A54 mobile phone, and one red Ayla car with the police number DN 1153 FV.

The Police Chief said that the success of the disclosure was a strong commitment of the institution in eradicating the circulation of narcotics in its jurisdiction in order to protect the community, especially the younger generation.

"This is a form of firm law enforcement against drug traffickers who damage social order and public health," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Palu Police Resnarkoba, Kompol Usman, added that his party would continue to develop the case to trace the network above it and invite the public to continue to actively provide information.

The suspect A.R.I. alias B is now being secured at the Narcotics Police Station, Palu Police for further legal proceedings and charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) and Article 609 paragraph (2) letter A of the National Criminal Code.

He said that the examination of witnesses, urine tests, and the deepening of the investigation file continued to be carried out to strengthen the case file.
