JAKARTA - The Minister of Health (Menkes), Budi Gunadi Sadikin, said the inauguration of two health centers that were rebuilt after the disaster in Aceh was part of an effort to accelerate the recovery of health services so that people affected by disasters could regain basic services optimally.

Budi in Jakarta, Saturday, said that the two health facilities are located in Lokop District, East Aceh Regency, as well as the Jambur Lak-Lak area, South East Aceh Regency. Both were completed in just three weeks.

"We are grateful to the Ministry of PU for having built this Puskesmas very quickly. Cross-sector collaboration like this is very important so that public health services can recover immediately," he said.

Apart from the construction and inauguration of health facilities, the Minister of Health appreciated the support of partners, PT Pegadaian and PT Jayamas Medica Industri Tbk, in providing health equipment and furniture, so that the two Puskesmas can immediately operate, as well as the support of the State Trust Foundation which strengthens emergency health services in Aceh.

The assistance includes three ambulances, three health service motorcycles, 35 Starlink units, 35 generators, and 35 units of clean water filters that have been distributed to various regions in Aceh.

"We receive and distribute assistance from the State Amanah Bakti Foundation in the form of ambulances and various supporting facilities for health services. This assistance is very helpful in ensuring that health services continue to run in the affected areas," said Budi.

On this occasion, he also emphasized the government's attention to the recovery of health workers' housing (nakes) affected by disasters. The Ministry of Health periodically monitors so that the process of replacing costs and repairing the nakes house can be realized immediately.

"We routinely monitor every two weeks so that the houses of health workers can get repair costs. Hopefully before Ramadan and Lebaran, they can return home, rest comfortably, and work optimally to serve the community," he said.

The Ministry of Health emphasized its commitment to continue to accompany the regional government in the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction process, ensuring that health services return to normal, and strengthening the resilience of the health system in disaster-prone areas.
