The Ministry of Education Starts Examining LK 2025 with BPK

"Every rupiah of state budget that is managed must provide benefits and real impacts for the protection, development, utilization, and advancement of national culture." The statement was delivered by Minister of Culture Fadli Zon when the Ministry of Culture held an Entry Meeting for the Examination of the Ministry of Culture's Financial Report for 2025 with the Indonesian Financial Supervisory Board (BPK) at the Ministry of Culture's office, Jakarta, Friday (13/2).

This activity is the first step in the examination to ensure accountability and transparency in the management of state finances, as well as confirming the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to orderly, effective, and legal financial governance.

Fadli menyebut entry meeting sebagai momentum awal untuk menyamakan persepsi antara Kementerian Kebudayaan dan BPK RI terkait tujuan, ruang lingkup, serta mekanisme pemeriksaan. Ia menekankan pentingnya komunikasi yang terbuka dan profesional agar proses pemeriksaan berjalan lancar dan memberi masukan konstruktif bagi penguatan tata kelola keuangan di lingkungan Kementerian Kebudayaan.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Bambang Wibawarta, emphasized that the entry meeting was a manifestation of a joint commitment to ensure accountable and transparent management of state finances. He stated that the BPK audit was part of the external oversight system to ensure that public budgets were managed effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with laws and regulations. "Entry meeting is an important momentum to confirm a joint commitment to the principles of accountability, transparency, and good governance," he said.

Meanwhile, Member of the VI BPK RI Fathan Subchi expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Culture, which was considered to have shown good performance and public response. He emphasized the importance of effective communication patterns and inter-institutional synergy. "The utilization of the budget must be together... a collaborative synergy between these two institutions," said Fathan.

The meeting was also attended by members of the BPK, including the Director General of State Financial Examinations VI Laode Nusriadi, Director of Examination VI.B. Mujahidin Asa Putra, Head of the Sub Directorate of Examination VI.B.1 M. Sarifudin, Expert Member of VI BPK RI Muhammad Arif Rochman, and the BPK RI inspection team.

From the Ministry of Culture, there were, among others, Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha Djumaryo, Inspector General Fryda Lucyana, Director General of Development, Utilization, and Culture Development Ahmad Mahendra, Director General of Cultural Protection and Tradition Restu Gunawan, Director General of Diplomacy, Promotion, and Cooperation Culture Endah T.D. Retnoastuti, and Expert Staff of the Minister of Culture for Legal and Cultural Policy Masyithoh Annisa Ramadani Alkatiri.

The Ministry of Culture stated that it was committed to supporting an independent and objective examination by providing complete and timely data and information, as well as following up on the recommendations of the BPK RI.
