BOGOR - The Pakansari Stadium area, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, was hit by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds today. The extreme weather that occurred suddenly caused panic among residents and disrupted activities around the sports complex.

Based on VOI sources, heavy rain began to fall this afternoon, Thursday, February 12, 2026, with high intensity.

Residents said that the weather conditions worsened in a short time.

"It was initially a normal cloud, but not long after it started raining heavily and the wind was quite strong," said Mamie, who was around the stadium at the time.

Several points in the Pakansari area were reported to have been flooded due to heavy rainfall. In addition, strong winds are also said to have caused tree branches to break and scatter in a number of areas.

Related officers are reported to have monitored to ensure that conditions remain safe. Until this news was released, there were no official reports of casualties or major damage.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) previously estimated the potential for moderate to heavy rain in the Bogor area and its surroundings. Residents are urged to remain vigilant against the possibility of extreme weather, including strong winds and heavy rain.

Authorities also reminded the public to be careful when doing activities outdoors, especially in open areas and under trees.

Until now, the weather conditions in the Pakansari area have reportedly started to gradually normalize, although dark clouds are still visible in several parts of the Bogor area.
