Tulungagung - The Tulungagung Police, East Java, are investigating a case of robbery at a tigaminimarket that occurred in the last 10 days in the local area.
The Public Relations Officer of the Tulungagung Police, Iptu Nanang Murdiyanto, said that since the beginning of February 2026, there have been three cases of breaking into minimarkets in different locations.
"We are still investigating whether these three cases are related. The perpetrators are still being pursued," said Nanang, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 11.
He explained, the first case occurred on Sunday (1/2) in Jeli Village, Karangrejo District, targeting a network minimarket.
According to him, the perpetrator entered through the roof, damaged the surveillance camera (CCTV) and the store alarm, and took away cigarettes with a loss of around IDR 3.4 million.
The second incident occurred on Tuesday (10/2) in Ringinpitu Village, Kedungwaru District, with the same target.

The perpetrator broke through the back wall of the store and stole 2,719 items, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, soft drinks, cosmetics, baby milk, medicines, and biscuits. The loss is estimated at Rp. 92.6 million.
The latest case occurred at a minimarket outlet located in Kacangan Village, Ngunut District, Wednesday. The incident was first known by the store employee around 06:30 WIB when he was about to open operations.
Kanit Reskrim Polsek Ngunut AKP Samsul Muarif said that the employee found the condition of the storefront to be scrambled and the ceiling of the roof was broken, which was suspected to be the perpetrator's entry point.
"Officers immediately went to the location to conduct crime scene investigation and examine witnesses. The perpetrator is suspected of entering through the roof by damaging the ceiling," he said.
From the initial examination, the perpetrator took a number of cigarettes and baby milk and even tried to break into the safe deposit box, but was unsuccessful.
The police are still compiling the number of missing items and the total losses due to the incident.
