Responding to Prabowo's 2-term discourse, NasDem: Enter the mind with approval rating reaching 80 percent

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party responded to the emergence of the discourse of President Prabowo Subianto's two-term government. According to Deputy Chairman of the NasDem DPP Saan Mustopa, with the level of public satisfaction with Prabowo reaching 80 percent, the discourse becomes reasonable.

Saan said NasDem was not concerned about the discourse. He assessed that one year of Prabowo's government had received a positive response from the people.

"There was no problem before. If you look at the approval rating today, it is almost 80 percent of satisfaction, so what Mr. Prabowo has done for more than a year means that he has also received appreciation with a high satisfaction approval rating," said Saan at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, February 9.

Saan assessed that the high approval rating was good news for the government and supporting political parties. So this consideration makes sense for Prabowo to run again in the 2029 presidential election.

"And of course it is happy for everyone with the approval rating that exists. So with these considerations, the discourse of two periods is reasonable, yes," he said.

It is known that the latest survey of Indonesian Political Indicators recorded the public's satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto's leadership at almost 80 percent. The Indicator survey found that as many as 79.9 percent of respondents were satisfied with Prabowo's 17-month performance in leading

"It's very high for the size of a president's approval rating," said Founder and Principal Researcher of Indonesian Political Indicators Prof. Burhanuddin Muhtadi in Jakarta, Sunday, February 8.

The level of satisfaction was recorded higher than the two previous presidents, namely Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Joko Widodo (Jokowi), when they first took office.

At the beginning of the leadership of the two presidents - SBY in 2004 and Jokowi in 2014 - their approval ratings were still below Prabowo's current ones.
