VOI Wins Golden Media 2026, JMSI Emphasizes Healthy Press Ecosystem

SERANG - In the midst of spotlight on the safety of the press and the demands of media management that are increasingly professional, VOI.id received the 2026 Golden Media Award from the Indonesian Cyber Media Network (JMSI). The award was handed over during the 2026 National Press Day commemoration series of JMSI and JMSI's 6th Anniversary at the Horison Ratu Ultima Hotel, Sunday, February 8, 2026.

VOI.id received the award together with a number of regional heads. The award ceremony was also attended by a number of officials, including Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, and Deputy Minister of Human Rights Mugiyanto, as well as regional heads from several provinces/regencies/cities.

JMSI Chairman Teguh Santosa emphasized that the award and commemoration of HPN 2026 must be read as a momentum to strengthen the press ecosystem, not just a celebration. He said that the consolidation of organizations was the main agenda to reaffirm JMSI's commitment to building a healthy and professional press climate.

"Sharing and caring" is one of the approaches that is encouraged, through the exchange of experiences in the development of media companies. Teguh also stated that JMSI appreciates individuals in government institutions and companies who are considered to support the press ecosystem, while encouraging the growth of a tradition of quality journalism and professional corporate management.

For HPN 2026, Teguh said JMSI contributed a number of important points in the 2026 Press Council declaration. One of the highlights, he said, was to include media managers as part of media personnel whose safety must be maintained.

VOI.id Editor-in-Chief Iqbal Irsyad said the 2026 Golden Media award was received as an honor. However, he emphasized that the achievement was the result of the collective work of the entire team.

"This award is the result of the joint work of my friends. It can be considered as a sign that the work of my friends at VOI.id is appreciated," he said.

He added that the award was motivation for VOI.id to continue to maintain the quality of editorial work and management of media companies, in line with JMSI's encouragement for the press ecosystem to move in a more professional direction.
