JAKARTA - Transjakarta services experienced delays during rush hour Monday morning due to rain and traffic congestion at a number of points. Travel time disruptions occurred on Corridor 13, Route 13B, Route L13E, and Route JAK 107.

Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said the delay was triggered by heavy traffic conditions, especially around the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR).

"We inform that on Monday morning rush hour, bus operations on Corridor 13, Route 13B, Route L13E, and Route JAK 107 are experiencing travel time constraints," Ayu said in a statement, Monday, February 9.

According to Ayu, the rain that fell since morning also exacerbated the congestion in the area, which directly impacted the timeliness of bus arrival.

"The delay in the arrival of this bus is due to heavy traffic around the JORR underpass," he said.

Transjakarta apologized to customers for the service disruption that occurred, especially for passengers who were active during rush hour.

"We apologize for the inconvenience to customers," said Ayu.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that rain would pour over parts of DKI Jakarta on Monday, February 9.
