National Police Chief Asks All Regional Police Chiefs To Maximize Micro PPKM And Guard Economic Recovery

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led a video conference (vicon) with all the regional police chiefs. The National Police Chief directly checks the efforts to handle the COVID-19 pandemic after Eid.

The selected regional police chiefs presented the results of handling COVID-19 in their respective regions. Such as Polda West Kalimantan, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, West Java, Central Java, Riau Islands and Polda Metro Jaya.

The presentation includes the number of confirmed cases, deaths, recoveries, obstacles including facilities and infrastructure.

In his directive, the National Police Chief emphasized several things, including being aware of the new COVID-19 cluster. General Sigit emphasized that all Heads of Regional Units (Kasatwil) must be sensitive in responding to the situation of the spread of COVID-19, especially new clusters.

"We must continue to move and move to face the difficult situation of this pandemic. The front line that the government hopes is the TNI-Polri," said Sigit in a written statement, Tuesday, June 1.

The National Police Chief also asked his staff to oversee the government's efforts to restore the economy.

"The recovery of the national economy must continue to be monitored so that it increases," said the National Police Chief.
