DPR: Pancasila Is Not Just Memorizing But It Needs To Be Implemented

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad believes that Pancasila is not just a jargon of words. Moreover, mere memorization, but a practice that must be implemented consistently in the life of the nation and state.

"Pancasila is not enough to just celebrate its birthday and not only memorize it, but its teachings must be implemented. Do not let your mouth talk about Pancasila, but actions often violate the values of Pancasila," Dasco said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 1.

He said if all people could live and live the values contained in Pancasila, then Indonesia would grow into a strong, sovereign, just and prosperous country.

However, according to him, if the values of Pancasila are increasingly ignored in life, it is feared that the Indonesian nation will face a very worrying condition and threaten to become a failed state.

Therefore, Dasco invites the whole community to always uphold the teachings of the divinity as the first precepts, to act fairly from the start.

"And have good manners such as the teachings of the second precept, and uphold the spirit of unity and brotherhood as stated in the third precept," he said.

The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party assessed that the community must also get used to facing differences and respecting each other. In addition, according to him, put forward deliberation in solving a problem according to the teachings of the fourth precepts of Pancasila.

In addition, Dasco invites the community to help and strengthen each other in the era of the pandemic that has hit Indonesia for more than a year.

"I believe that with the spirit of mutual cooperation, Indonesia will become a country that has succeeded in overcoming the COVID-19 outbreak. The strong help the weak, and the weak never give up, so social justice will be created, as mandated by the fifth principle of Pancasila," he said.
