JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will add a new Transjabodetabek service with the Blok M-Soekarno Hatta Airport route in the near future. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets this route to carry 2,000 passengers per day.

The plan is that when the route opens, there will be 20 buses prepared to serve the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport journey. The number of transportation will be added in line with its ridership.

"Usually we open 20 new routes. If the public response is big, of course we will add. Because for the initial calculation, the minimum passengers who will use it are approximately 1,950 to 2,000 per day," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, February 5.

Pramono ensured that the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport service had a stop point in front of the airport terminal and was not like the Transjakarta SH1 service which only stopped at the Soekarno-Hatta office.

"So later at Soekarno-Hatta itself there will be three terminals that will be discontinued. Terminal 1A, 1B, and Terminal 3. Later there will be cooperation between Transjakarta and Angkasa Pura," said Pramono.

On the other hand, it was decided to postpone the plan to open the new Transjabodetabek service route. Initially, Pramono wanted the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Bandara service to officially launch in the second week of February 2026. However, its implementation was postponed a few weeks later.

"I have asked for before welcoming Eid al-Fitr, this route must be opened. So hopefully whether in the fourth week of February or in early March, we will open it," he said.

Pramono admitted that the DKI Provincial Government still had to build and prepare stops serving the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport route, especially those in the Tangerang City area, Banten, to go to the airport.

"It needs to be improved, new stops built. Especially the stops that are actually outside the Jakarta area. The problem is that. Including those, for example (such as the Transjabodetabek route) to Bogor, to Sawangan, Depok, it has not been built yet," said Pramono.

According to Pramono, it is not good if the Transjabodetabek service to the international airport that will be opened is only facilitated by a bus stop, instead of providing a stop. Because, many foreign nationals (WNA) have the potential to use this public transportation service.

"For Soekarno-Hatta, because whatever this is, it is the face of Jakarta, the face of Indonesia. Surely, foreign citizens will also use this. Therefore, the face must also be a good face. Therefore, I have ordered the stops to be built until then it will operate normally," he concluded.
